they don't read, we don't eat, you don't understand

ORTOGRAFÍA: TERCERA PERSONA DELSINGULAR -S

En la tercera persona del singular el verbo siempre acaba en -s: he wants, she needs, he gives

Pero hay algunas excepciones

Añadimos -es a los verbos que acaban en: -o, -ss, -x, -sh, -ch: Los verbos que acaban en consonante + -y:
 he goes, she passes, he fixes, it pushes, she catches. La tercera persona cambia  -y a: -ies:
fly     flies
cry   cries

 

 

 

 

 

USO

Este tiempo se usa para hablar de:

The shop opens at 9.30

Every twelve months the Earth circles the Sun

It costs a lot of money to build a school

He doesn’t like tennis

EXPRESIONES DE TIEMPO. Usamos este tiempo con:

ALWAYS: siempre     USUALLY: generalmente    
OFTEN: a menudo     SOMETIMES: a veces         NEVER: nunca

We play tennis on Sundays
We go to the swimming pool twice a week
