Village - Town - City

Do you live in a village, town or city? What is the difference?
A city (gran ciudad) is an urban area which is diferentiated from a town, by size, population, importance or legal status. Examples are: London, New York, Paris, Rome, Madrid, Berlin, etc.
A town (ciudad mediana) is a place where people live and work, containing many houses, shops, places of work and entertainment, etc. It is not so important, so big and so populated as a city. Examples are: York, Bristol, Teruel, Huesca, Toulouse, Marseille, Florence, etc.
A village (pueblo) is a small group of houses and other buildings: a school, a small church, some shops, etc, usually in the countryside.
The country / countryside (campo en contraposición a la ciudad) is an area away from the influence of large cities and towns.
